Live streaming sample
The video window on the left will allow you to test whether your PC is correctly configured to view live streaming video. To view a sample stream, click on the triangular play button.

If all is correctly configured, you will see LESN graphics and hear background music.

The window on the left may indicate that you do not have the required plug-in. You can go to Microsoft to download the free version of Windows Media Player.

You may receive an error message that the "server cannot be found." This may indicate that you are behind a firewall. Try contacting your IT department to verify the existence of a firewall. We will be happy to work with your IT people to deliver the streaming video through the firewall. Please contact the Distance Ed support staff at (610)758-4211, indetech@lehigh.edu, for assistance.

FAQ (frequently asked questions)

1. Where do I find the link for my class?

The link to the live stream of your class can be found on the course Blackboard site. Check either the "Course Documents" area or the "External Links" area. If you do not see a link in either area for the live stream, please contact the office at (610)758-4211.

2. How do I participate in the class?

You will use the phone bridge located in each of the classrooms to call in and ask questions and participate in discussions. The phone number that you are to use will be on the web page from which you are viewing the live video. Keep in mind that a delay exists between what you see and hear on your desktop and what is actually happening in the classroom. Our professors are aware of this delay and will work to manage this when it comes to classroom discussions.

3. What if I miss a live class?

All of the live classes broadcast over the Internet will also be archived for later viewing. The web page mentioned in the first question above, will also contains links to all of these class archives.
